twas 9 ish when i ran lpg and did,nt realise that the rev limiter was just cutting the injectors (that were disconnected anyway)I think frank had one up to 10000
Sweet. So any experience? Wondered if anyone had made one go banghigher rpm = higher forces & stress on moving parts = weakest components closer to their point of failure = higher wear rate and/or shorter Mean Time Between Catastrophic Failure.
rpm is kinda like the burn rate of a fuse on a stick of tnt.
higher rpm = fuse burns along faster till the inevitable.
but..if the engine is already choked by it's volumetric efficiency/ports/inlet/exh systems and the graph shows the hp/ftlb curve already dropping down before the current rev limit, or the valvetrain starts to valve bounce, then there's no benefit in increasing rpm other than to grenade it faster.
I was thinking 1k odd more than stock. Nissan must of accounted for people dropping down heat...by accident..loltwas 9 ish when i ran lpg and did,nt realise that the rev limiter was just cutting the injectors (that were disconnected anyway)
my TD05 was just coming into boost at the rev limit, so needed 10k really, but piston speed limits the rpm in reality, 10k for the 1.0 and 8k for the 1.3 is safe imo
Might be the case, but I am sure someone knows a decent limitHow long's a piece of string
You should be the guinea pig Chris!
How fascinating, please tell me moreWow, same power as my road car at 2750rpm... How depressing

I'd rather waste my time somewhere decent thanks, you could always use the search engine though m8How fascinating, please tell me more

and given your honest opinion, i decided not to do it. thank you very much. You asked and got an honest response. Not gonna lie about how i treated the cars.. in a nutshell, yes they handle revving well but no you shouldnt really do it.
My bad'She' was honest.
yeh man i always drive my 1.3 hard, its the way it likes. i change gear when revs go up a bit'She' was honest, guys im just telling you my experience and thats all. I didnt sell the cars as genuine 100% reliable on road examples. End of really, i dont need to prove myself and im not trying to be cool at all, i just enjoyed them whilst i had them.
You chatting about me dudeAll this coming from folk who are far from perfect themselves
Put the high horses away gents.
He was honest about it. Can't be fairer than that
Scott you are a bell endBest not write a half baked story that makes you appear a complete bell end
