ST Gearboxes

I've been looking into all the stuff I'll need to do to keep my ST running for as long as possible and I just wanted to ask about the gearboxes.

I know the ST gearbox is very different to all other K10 gearboxes and I just wanted to see what sort of work would be involved with reconditioning. Like if I were to get hold of another box, would I be looking at a whole bunch of custom work to get it completely rebuilt to perfect working order or can they be reconditioned fairly easily?? Just thought I'd ask now as I want to start acquiring these sorts of things soon so I can get em rebuilt for when/if the current one does pack it in.

the strip/rebuild in the k10, haynes g/box section is pretty comprehensive, i would have thought the st is a similar (albeit stronger) design

I have rebuilt mine about 5 times now. They are RS5F31V gearboxes but RS5F31A gear sets can be made to fit. All the bearings are available but the diff ones are expensive, as they are very large and hold the LSD.
