Instrument Cluster/Speedometer gone crazy
Hello,i have the micra 1.3 SRi version and suddenly my whole speedo unit gone nuts.
the gauges are totally dead,the lcd display shows some random dashes and blinks and makes some ticking sounds.
the only thing that works are the bulbs.

an other interesting thing is that when i had the speedo unit connected it draw about 8 amps! and it damaged my battery with its 100watt short circuit and i had to replace it...
so,is the speedo unit damaged or the "thing" that sends signals to the speedo?
the only thing that comes to my mind that i could have done to damage it,is that i washed the engine bay some days ago.could it be that?
