Hi there all,
I am in the process of trying to work out what might be wrong with the drivers door bass speaker on my girlfriends Micra. The main speaker in the door seems to be only producing treble! The tweeter by the wing mirror is working properly, as far as I can tell in comparison with the passenger side. I don't know how long it has been like this, but it has persisted through changing the stereo (gotta love how that involves taking most of the dash to pieces...). I have removed the speaker in question, but I can't see anything particularly wrong with it! My next step would be to swap it with the passenger side bass unit to work out if it is the wiring that is at fault.
Does anyone know if there is a crossover hidden in there anywhere that might be wired up wrongly? These are the original speakers, I have only changed the head unit so far.
Thanks, Matt.
