sparking cd player

ok heres the problem i bought a new kenwood kdc-w6541u, it was working for about three weeks then stopped checked all the fuses including the one on the back of the cd player, and they're all good but when it came to reinstalling the head unit it sparked on the metal surround any ideas why? head unit is fine aswell that was tested at sextons

there will be a bad earth, the k11 earths through the ariel connection so if its not connected (or becomes unconnected) whilst your pushing it back, that may cause it.

easiest thing to do is on the nut at the back of the stereo (or threaded hole) put in a seperate earth directly to the bodywork. and double check all of the power connections.

I have a similar problem, it will not power up and the fuses are fine, and I know its connected properly. Any suggestions thanks.
