so yesterday i was adding a couple of switches and a secondary accessory outlet to my micra (1.5D K11 second facelift) , i decided to tap the 12v from the stereo leads instead of the existing accessory outlet as i wasn't going to hook up any high amp devices (just a bluetooth receiver & phone charger) and it was more accessible. this worked nicely for a moment.
However one of the connectors going to the switches must've gotten loose & probably caused a short. causing my stereo Head Unit to no longer function & the (constant) 12v lead on the stereo Head Unit cabling to no longer give any power. (tested with a multimeter).
also my Dashboard clock reset to 0:00.
TLDR:
DIY gone wrong, probably caused a short,
no longer 12V on stereo Head Unit leads.
Any advice on where to look & how to fix it ?
