Rusty Bottom!

Hi all..
Bought my daughter a 1998 K11 auto recently..the car drives well, bodywork is in great condition but there is so much rust underneath!
Its failed MOT on the front crossmember buts its only a £55 repair so im not bothered but what to do about the rest of it? its mainly surface flaky rust but it sure dont look good!

If it's just surface then just set about cleaning it off and Then Shultz it that's what I would do anyway

I agree with mike , get surface rust off then paint it underneath with Shultz

I spent yesterday underneath mine poking away. Nothing bad, no holes just surface rust but what amazed me is how far it spreads under the paint. Ive worked on alot of old rusty cars over the years but nothing spreads rust under the paint quite like this. I know that the more I look the more ill find, but ill just keep an eye on it every 6 months when anything gets more noticeable. I use hammerite rust converter, red oxide, then prime, stonechip, and topcoat. Seems to have done the trick before.
