rust on the roof

ok so ive just got my black micra S and its a 1litre beast
but it has rust problems everywhere

the worrying one is on the roof the whole area that is in front of the sunroof is bubbling under the paint. there are no water leeks, so i dont think the rust is beyond repair.

has this happened to anyone before?
what did you do?
is it a difficult area to work on?

just looking for some advice

get it sorted soon mate, when paint bubbles, its water under the paint, it'll be springy lol, or if its dried out it will be crusty. it will lead to big problems if you leave it, ide say put some tape over for now if you have no money to repair( its summer so shudnt be much rain) i can advise a very good body shop just over wearmouth bridge.

Anyway, I had same problem on my sills, it's best to get sorted before metal rusts, when I sanded paint away you can see where the metal is erroding but with the water gone and a bit of filler to smooth its all good now.

If you plan to get fixed but can't afford to get done yet I'd burst them and wipe some Kurust over it so it gets inside the bubbles, it treats and prevents rust.
