I've been a micra owner just over a year now and have procrastinated joining the forum for quite a while, finally got around to making an account so I'll attempt to briefly sum up what I've done with my car over the last year and a bit.
I got it in about April 2015 off Gumtree for £240, it is a 1995 micra L which had just under 87k on, a few weeks MOT, pretty good bodywork but a timing chain rattle etc. My friend named it 'Rocky' after the 'ROX' at the end of the number plate. Ignore the photo quality but here's what it was like...

Anyway I then proceeded to clean all of the grime out of it and get to know what I had bought.
Seats came out for a clean as they were pretty dirty...

Came with a Twix too, nice...

Took me a few weeks to realise what the noise was, but it turned out to be a timing chain rattle, great... So I procrastinated sending it into a garage for one or two months and when I finally did he took a week and a half to do it as well as having managed to cause more than one oil leak, just brilliant!
Over the next six months ish it was messing with small things such as replacing both door handles and painting the sills red (nowt I can't stand more than mismatched sills) and that was about it really. First mod I really did was purchasing TSW Imola's (15x7 and not a clue on the ET) along with 40mm TA Tecknix springs to get it sitting right (or so I thought). Cue the odd photo with some cross tape'dlights...

I also trimmed the poverty spec door cards in black vinyl as well as painted the dash and rear cards (pictures to come).
That's about it really, up until recently when I decided to check for rust - lol.

As it sits now it's slightly in bits awaiting me finishing getting the cross member out.

Mods are as follows:
-TSW Imola wheels (15x7) with 195/50/15 tyres.
-TA Tecknix 40mm springs minus one coil on the front.
-Black painted/trimmed interior with a Nardi steering wheel of unknown origin.
-Painted cam cover (black).
-Peter Lloyd Rally exhaust from the cat back.
As well as a fair bit of rust.
