roof strips

is it easy to remove the rubber strips in the roof channels i have noticed rust appearing,i wish to take them out and rustproof the channel then replace the rubbers cheers.

Hello mate. I've never done it, but would think they would just pull off (may be)
Refit with a dab of glue and away you go.

The roof strips are just clipped in. Same as the windscreen trim both are clipped in place
The roof ones are stainless steel and can bend and the windscreen are rubber/plastic that can break

Easy to remove, but never put them back. A nice bit of weight saving on the rally car without them.
