Rocker Cover Painting

Iv got myself another Rocker Cover and want to paint it red but leave the nissan twin cam bit silver. What is the best way to sand it down, prime etc? I know Wayne was normally the first person to reply, but he aint here so i was wonderin if anyone else knew how to get a professional finish from home if you like!

Id degrease it......then any rough bits sand them till all is smooth......few coats of primer.....sand down with very fine sandpaper.......give a few coats of final colour.....and sand down again with the fine stuff once more.

To keep the nissan twin cam silver, either mask it off each time before spraying....or you maybe able to getway with sanding the paint backoff those areas when your done seeing as its a raised section.

Thats probably how id go about it.
