Ridiculous.

Littlewood

Here comes the BOOM!
Got a loose manifold at back and it bangs on something when stood idle, makes the car vibrate!

But worse still, I dont know what the next problems cause is...

When I set off in first, I have to load the revs on to stop it juddering around like I'm a second week learner driver o_O. Could it just be from it blowing where the welds are breaking? Or is it something worse?

if the manifold (inlet?) is cracked or loose then all your vacuum will be sinking to atmosphere...if its rattling then the vacuum will be present-leeking-present-leeking as you rattle along...effects of an unstable vacuum will be that your distrubuter vacuum advance will be shifiting from advanced to none to avanced to none again resulting in power-no power-power-no power etc....there is also a vacuum 'signal' routed to the carburettor too,

you must get the mainifold fixes up with no air leeks before you can diagnose anything else from symptoms

if you want to check for air leaks spray wd40 or similar around inlet and listen for engine note change and or bubbling.
