Reverse Light Not Working

Hey, there all,

I have a 2002 Nissan Micra K11 Tempest, and the reverse light doesn't turn on when I put the car in reverse. I've checked the plug going into the assembly for voltage and there's no voltage. I've also gained access to the reverse wire further in the loom towards the rear seats and again no voltage. Has anyone had this issue and if so how can it be fixed?

Try to find the fuse "F8 (10A) Heated rear window relay – if fitted, central locking, central locking signalling control unit, daytime running lights control unit – if fitted, immobiliser switch (“PVN”), reversing lights"

Thank you. I’ll look tomorrow.

The fuse looks alright with also doing a continuity test on it too.

So, you should follow the current from fuse to main wiring's key-points.

You also can try to bring the current from fuse to the switch using an external supplementary wire: in this way you can check if/where the original wiring is interrupted.

I’ll try that today thank you

Hey everyone ! I had a similar issue with my Micra. Check not just the fuses but also the reverse switch; sometimes it can get stuck or damaged. Do continuity tests on the wires too, as the problem might be in the wiring itself. Good luck, hope you find a fix soon;)!
