Just an update as I had to replace mine again the other week. Nissan now have a re-designed card for the fan control. It's shorter then original , still works the same and is retailing around $60. Hopefully lasts longer then original ones.

Thanks for the info. Did you by any chance take a photo of it comparing the two before installing the new one? Even a few pics of the old one would be handy for reference, especially if you can pinpoint the failed resistor or traces.

Sorry no, the cards fit identically no mods required, same width just shorter, you'd not tell the old card was a dud just by looking at it, nothing apparent to show it had failed.

am I right in thinking that a failed card gives 2 speeds ... "stop" and "flat out"... if so * ,I get the impression that the tracks on the card can be replaced by some high wattage bulbs ...just a question of trying some different wattage bulbs ????

* the fan motor and the resistor card must be in series if this is the case ?

a headlight bulb gives you roughly 1/2 speed mike

If card has failed, correct, all you get get is off and flat out.
