Back again with another little update, I noticed my steels where a little ugly and tattered, so I popped down to Halfords and and bought myself some hammerite silver spray to make them look new and fresh
So I got some hammerite silver:
Some sandpaper:
And a wire brush:
Right, so then I got to work, jacked up the car, put on Jack stands and began prepping. I started to sand the wheels and get rid of as much of the rust as I could and all the little scratches and spots that would ruin the finish of the paint...
This is how the wheels started out [this was one of the better ones:]
And this is the result after using the wire brush and sandpaper:
Okay so, for anyone wondering what is happening in the picture above, I had ran out of masking tape and was feeling lazy so found a solution.
I got an old deck of cards and stuck them around the tyre to avoid the paint getting all over them, this worked absolute wonders
This is the finished result of the spray:
So after I had done all the wheels, I sat them against the wall and went in to play some Xbox and let them dry...
An hour and 15 mins later it was dry enough to start putting back on the car so I put the rear wheels back on which let me do the fronts afterward.
And this is the finishing result. It turned out absolutely amazing and I think turned out wonderful for less than a days labour.
