Removing Locks And Keyless Entry

Its simple really the locks should be removed by someone qualified to reduce damage to paintwork preferably a refinisher. They can then fill the holes where the lock once was and paint that over, if they are any good you should have an excellent finish. Then have someone or do it yourself install a central locking kit I have a 5 door Micra and the four doors are all central locked and none have locks. That basically makes it keyless entry you walk up and press the keyfob and vuola open sesame street!! I will post the pics today on what the doors look like without the locks.

Did you keep the lock on the boot just incase the battery goes dead?

Yeah thats always a good suggestion keep the boot lock on there, however when choosing an alarm make sure you get one that includes a boot alarm. Otherwise someone can obviously rob the stuff in the boot with no alarm to bother them.
