Radio Cassette Removal

Still got the original Blaupunktradio cassette in a 95 reg Micra 1.0

How does it come out in order to fit a cd player?

Cant see any slots or holes at the sides to enable me to use the usuall removal tools for radios

You have to take plastic console off, conisting of 4 screws (facelift) not sure about prefacelift though which your is likely.

two can be found behind the ashtray?

Then you'll see the screws holding the radio in.

Two screws under the top edge, two screws visible if you remove the ashtray. Wiggle-wiggle-wiggle and it's free.

I did have a bit of fun getting my new cd player in though, instead of being in a cage the unit is held in place by two metal brackets, and only one of the bolt holes lined up with my unit, and as i have a flip face player it took me ages to get the thing to sit straight so the face wouldnt touch the dash cover! But getting it out was probably the easiest thing ive ever done on my car
