Radiator mounts

No go this time, my regular scrappy I've had the best set then the rest are either rusted to the member or the member has been destroyed to get engine out or from damage!

guess your replacing the front end then and the front new cross member section isnt supplied with the new radiator mount. am i right?

lol
as this is exactly my case the other week when i replaced the front end of a k11. lol

Yep, went to do it to the SuperS while back then realised it has no mounts and the superS ones where welded one with the so called repair job done on it!

How did it go with your replacement?

easy.lol
in and replaced quite easily. even though had to straighten up the full chasiis leg aswell :S[attachment=1290]

lol
straightened it all up and replaced the cross member. good thing like cos it was rotten through

after straightening it all up new wing (needs new bonnet) anda replacement bumper for time being untill the proper one goes back on

straight forward really. just remember were u took it all from and make sure you have a good mig welder and a good spot weld remover. and it all comes away easy just unhook the rad and lean it back. unbolt the top bolts on wings and they push out to side. without having to take them off as u KNOW ur only gonna snap a bolt on the under side :p

make sure all the lighting wiring is out the way and then start de-spot welding.

i also took the time whilst the front end was off to fit a janspeed manifold for him aswell :p

Looks like you had some fun!
After doing the SuperS front end which had a ****e load of welding done so that was harder, SLX is gonna be easier, had to do a bit of extra grinding as some bits but was a fun thing to learn!

Wayne, any recommendations for a cheap first welder then, having to get someone to do mine which is costing (but the SuperS did pass MOT without the welds but will be doing before I drive it)
