Hi story is that my k10 went in for its mot on saturday, problem is that im looking at £110 to plate the sills & test it (on top of the £60 that ive just spent on other welding) to pass its test, so my oldest brother suggested why not go to a local panel suppliers & get 2 new sills @ £10-15 each & weld them on, The question is does anybody know how much it could be to weld 2 new sills on my car, just welded no painting or undersealing (will do this myself), qd do you know?, anyone? I dont want it going to the same place as marks has, thanks

Your going to have to ring around and get quotes! Everything's cheaper up north, so prices people post could be way out compared to a weldering place in your local area.

i had new sills on my old k10 - i brought replacement sill plateing from a local motor factors and it cost me 50 quid for welding as i supplied the steel.

that was over 3 yrs ago.
