Private Registration.

Found a Private reg for my K11 I want.... BUT it says its £142 quid is that on the car or do I pay transfer fees or anything else?

Are certain sites better than others, do they sort transfers etc?

Anyone give me advice on what to expect?

Read the small print i doubt thats including the £80 registration fee. Cheapest ones are about £200/250 fitted

Yeah that will be for just the plate excluding transfer fees and possibly VAT. Am I right in thinking you will also have to put your old one on retention or it is lost forever?

I found it on NewReg.co.uk I dont mind buying it now to then keep til I want to fit it. But should I buy from DVLA?

Aah, NewReg - doesn't include VAT then so you will be looking at very roughly £250 inc. VAT and fees then £105-£155 to place it on retention for 1-3 years as you choose. (Y)

I got the reg from DVLA in the end, £255... sorted!!

Gonna fit the plate on my K12 instead.... so N 160SR!!
