Possible leak - radiator overflow question..

Noticed a small leak after a short journey today - popped the bonnet and it looked as if it had come from the overflow pipe going down the side of the radiator....

Never noticed it before - is this a usual thing or the sign of a problem?

i know i had to change the cap once on the k10

Any other problems? I had this when my headgasket went as back pressure was blowing coolant past radiator cap

No running problems really - it's been a bit tricky starting it in the cold weather and fuel economy was down last week but I think that was due to tyre pressures being all out. Other than that, runs great doesn't overheat, etc....

Good to hear that, but just so you know when my head gasket went my car had never overheated, it was just head gasket failure. I suppose its possible that the pressure release in the radiator cap is occurring too low and just needing a new cap. Btw, fitted one myself recently and the cheapest place I found one was, believe it or not, Halfords!, even cheaper than Ebay!
