polo 6n coilovers (not asking if they fit)

Basicly ive bought a full set and found skymeras guide on how to fit them on the rear.
No guides on the fronts.
I've been told you need the top mounts because micra ones will make my car stupidly low?
Also the top hole on the coilover its self needs to be drilled out?
Can anyone confirm this?

Micra top mounts are fine I'm using them. You drill the top mount not the coiliver itself.
Then you mod the bottom to fit your hub

Ie like you said the top hole gets redrilled further down the mount plate to match the cars hub mounting.
Gotta be careful not to remove too much metal though, you either get camber, or you mod to neutral and then weld a washer to support the mount
