what are everyone's thoughts about this new mini? based on all reviews it seems to be a cracking little car yet again despite looking the same and still quite girly! hehe

My sister is a BMW mini saleswoman. Her thoughts on the new one are its smoother than the last but torque steer is worse. Its also now a turbo not supercharged. As a result, power steering is powered directly by the engine not by an motor as before.

booked my testdrive for the weekend next week, hopefully i wont take a liking as i want to keep the jap bloodline! lol

insurance group on the S has gone up a group i think but fuel comsumption and tax is lower. if it can out live a jap then it could be a very tempting prospect.

Oh another interesting thing is that although its a turbo it has a 10.5:1 compression ratio.. Pretty high as turbos go (March ST is 7.7:1)

I really wish I had somewhere to park a car over here, as I would buy one in a jiffy. I had a Cooper and it was the best driving car I have ever driven (once I had upgraded the power a bit :laugh: ).
