I alreaddy am, lol they guy in the shop gave me a demo, with exaclty the same speakers and Pump in, no joke but I still have aching ears...lol

I dont know if this meens much, but on the dials he put the volume up to 86 :S

anything above 40 was loud...lol

The number doesnt really mean anything as it varies between head units, also the setup of the head unit and what the amp / boost controllers etc are set at!

Also, testing in a shop is different to testing in a car because the environment is different! More air / vibration etc

Glad you like it tho :)

I had a demo in a car with two subs simular to arnolds setup, and the pump, and the pump kicks you in the back...

EDIT: fair play, so did the Subs, but the pump was much better sound and Bass, thats why I went for it :)

You cant sit in the car with mine cranked up. The pressure pulls your lungs and makes you very very dizzy, you have to switch it off.

Good job mine comes with a Remote, lol, i'll have to hear yours when I come to the meet some time :)

Well JAE is its next big outing, lets hope its working this year. It was all installed the week before JAE last time and the amp blew up the day before the show!! Wasnt pleased in the slightest considering it all cost around £1500

You've been warned about having your music up loud, you should be lucky u have perfect hearing, others weren't given the choice.

What fun that was :glance:

On another note, if I'm at JAE this year it will hopefully be rather fun! :)

LMAO!! Ben u crack me up

you will be deaf by jae with that thing

kev is right
turn your sub up loud and unplug your 6x9s
you will see them move due to the air pressure levels inside the boot changing. (the sub is causing this)
this causes distortion coming from the 6x9s but to be honest ive heard a few systems setup like this and i would say that if you dont have a good ear for this sort of thing you wont be able to notice it.

if you would like to setup properly you could make some air tight boxes to go underneath the 6x9s to stop the air effecting their performance.

just my opinion but the straps holding the sub down look naff, using velcro underneath should be sufficient to secure it and it would not be visible

how does it sound?

Firstly Yes it sounds exelent, there is no sign of distortion whatso ever, the rear speakers sounds just as clear...

But I am getting the underneath covers just because I dont like the look of the bottom of speakers like that. and it might help, currently listing to the start of "Die Another Day - Madonna"... Build up at the start really shows of the best sound IMO.
