whats the general view of using fully synthetic engine oil instead of semi-synthetic? ive got a load of high quality fully synthetic at home, but little to put it in at the moment...

Wouldn't have thought it would make much difference tbh.

I stick with good ol' Castrol Magnatec 10W40 Semi

my brother races in the national superstock 1000 on a kawasaki zx-10 with around 200bhp. one of our sponsors provided enough oil to change it every race weekend, but it delaminated at the high power/heat/revs that the bike deals with, so we're back on castrol power-1.

75L of oil just sat there waiting to get used.

gonna blast it into the g/box as well, as EbbDude seemed to think it was worthwhile!

Engine oil in the gearbox is a good idea
Fully synthetic is better as its less coarse and stands up to heat better. Never had issues in my competition use with fully synthetic
