Oil sump leak

Just a small one but annoying me because I like things clean. Is it possible to remove the sump just using stands? If so, should I replace the sump or just clean it up and use a sealant of some sort?

If the metals wearing or rusting through at any point I'd replace it. You need a sealant that can withstand oil contact to refit it - something like Loctite 5910 .

Got some surface rust on other bits so maybe time to hunt one down. Thanks for the advice.

it may be the oil pressure switch that screws in near the oil filter these are known to leak a bit throught their threads
ptfe tape on the thread should stop it

I'm actually a bit worried about mine tbh, there's a rust patch about 3"x3" that feels quite deep. Might submit a request to one of those online scrappies that sends the request to all the big scrappies...
