Noob here looking for tech help with gearbox

Hey guys,

Hope you can help - this one is a bit of an oddball request.

A mate is restoring a '79 Mini Marcos, and instead of using the old BL a-series tuned to within inches of it's life I talked him into putting a CG13DE in there instead - as i've seen good things with minis and Nissan engines strangely enough in Trinidad....

Anyway, all is going good, apart from the 1.3 gearbox - it fouls the steering rack. We know we can put in the 1.0 box with the 1.0 flywheel and driveshafts, but it'll be running 10" mini wheels so will redline at about 80mph.

Is there a higher final drive available for the 1.0 box? 3.44 or higher would be good.

i think some k10,s had a high diff phil (3.65 ?) which should fit the pre-facelift 1.0 K11 RS5F41

Nice one frank - that's a good place to start.

I know forums like photos - I'll try and get some in time - 80 bhp in a 550kg motor can be surprisingly lively.
