not sure if this will be the problem but my brother had the same problem recently and it turned out to be the microswitches inside the lighting stalk on the steering wheel don`t no if it could be the same problem

Yes.
The only lights that don't work are:
Both rear lights (the ones that are always one)
Both rear brake lights
Right turning signal
Both revers lights
(the fog light WORKS)
And I've been digging a bit on the net and some people losse there instrument cluster light, well my instrument lights do NOT work
I do not have a camera but there seem to be 2x extra connectors inside the dash (i just ripped out the stereo)
I cant get through MOT like this and I will just trow it if I cant fix it...
But it's a really really fun car and i dont want to do it

Righto, there seems to be a link between all these systems on the earth side according to Haynes, they are all connected to three earths, one behind the right hand kick panel, one behind the left hand kick panel and a third near the right hand rear light cluster, try earthing each of the affected light circuits to see if it is the common earth thats at fault.
