My 2002 micra k11 1.4 cvt has a bit of drive when cold and no drive when hot. It is the later torque converter model NOT covered in the Haynes manual, does anyone have a spare box or a spare oil pump as I have been told this could be the problem if the car has been towed without the engine running as this damages the pump. I want to get it up and running, if I have to drop in a manual box I will but I would prefer to keep the CVT box as it is original equipment and I like automatics.
I have drained the oil, now Dexron 3, changed the filter, but still no improvement when it has drive it sort of fades in and out and now and then lurches on pulling away from stationary. Someone must have some knowledge on this, it is a regulr car nothing special a 1.4 CVT SE+, but it is a good sound little car.
I have the feeling it is something silly but I can't find anything to fix as it all seems fine, just doesn't drive. Ideas Please.
