New car unknown electronic gadget

I'm new so hello everyone!

I just bought a K11 1999 jap import and there's strange box under the original radio. It seems to be some sort of Rev counter. And official Nissan one. It's not working Does anyone know what it's meant to do or how to get it working?

No it's not a radio altough it still had teh orginal radio in it.
It's just underneath the radio it says Digital LED tachometer Nissan. I'll try and get a picture of it up when i get a camera.

Nice little LED tacho. Loose earth was causing the problems. HAs anyone else seen these before?

Looks like a K10 item fitted into a K11 car... It's got the right angles for the K10 Dashboard.
