New, bigger engines for K10s

Just got hold of a 1988 k10 MA10, but am thinking of replaceing the engine as its got a oil not had time to fine out what it is yet, but is leaking from under the Alternator.

anywho, was wat to put a bigger engine in it but can't seeem to fine anywhere that i can get 1 from

can any1 give me some ideas

p.s need some skins for the sils can you help there too

there just the MA12 that is a straight swap the rest of the bigger engines require work!

Yeah you can only put the MA12 1.2 engine in

Other engines will not fit and require modifications

Sills can be bought from a local bodyshop or somehwere on the internet...google is your friend

wat sort of modifactions, could you fit a figaro engine into it eg 1.0 turbo, and would i have to change it from a 4 speed to a 5 speed gearbox,

do u mean the skins of the sils not the actuall sils

Depending on the engine, mounts, ecu, wiring looms, shafts, hubs, brakes, suspension, body mods, dash, electronics etc etc

The MA09ET engine isnt a straight swap either

The only one that is straight no messing is the MA12, if it hasnt already got the 5 speed with it then yes you need a 5 speed really, bolts straight on, you could keep the ma10 - 1.0L and put a 5 speed striaght on...

I put some skin sills on my first K10, they were from my local bodyshop...cos nearly £400 to get them welded on tho
