N-CVT light comes on!

Hello Everyone,

i have micra 1.0 auto '93. When the N-CVT light comes on, the car stalls and unable to move. I have recently changed the oil and the auto transmission fluid and no leaks. The problem still occuring. Any ideas?

Are u sure it was-
a. the right type of fluid?
b. the right amount? (U probably haven't overfilled it as that seems to destroy the gearbox)

Automatic transmissions are (delete as applicable) fiddly things/harsh mistresses/unfathomable contraptions so u're probably going to have to take it to a Nissan garage or an auto transmission place. It's also possible that the stalling is the ECU shutting down the engine to prevent/minimise damage, they have a limp home mode for other faults after all.
