Mystery Switch... It\'s driving me mad!

Hi Everyone,

My friend has a Nissan Micra K11C (1997–2003). There is a black switch on his centre panel. It is black, underneath the stereo on the drivers side about 3/4 inch long. It literally serves no discernable purpose. He has no idea what it used to do but it certainly does nothing now. I'm just desperate to find out what this mystery switch is for! Will try to get a photo if this description is no good.

i would suggest a kill switch so it cant be nicked. Perhaps also nos lol

Could be Neon lights or a over ride switch for the immobiliser or maybe a cut off switch for the fuel pump so it cant be stolen. Could literally be anything.

I should have known it was the bat cave... The cape and mask were a definite give away.

Saw a Micra parked up on my road this morning, peered in to check out the switch on it. The owner walked up behind me with a look on their face that clearly read "you are trying to steal my car, step away or I will injure your face". Investigating on a forum is far safer than field work I think.
