I've ruined my car ?
On Tuesday of this week I picked up my birthday/Christmas present, this silver facelift donor car
It's absolutely full of parts including:
A Matt Humphries fast road kit;
- OMP top front strut brace
- Whiteline lower front strut brace
- Spax shocks all round
- Hol 60mm springs
- Whiteline panhard rod
Facelift March front bumper
Nismo shock top mounts
GTiR brakes with grooved discs
Polybushed wishbones
Nismo 25mm front anti-roll bar
E30 BMW bottle caps
Whiteline 20mm rear anti-roll bar
It's safe to say I'm delighted with all this. I'll be selling on the March bumper and wheels, everything else will be transferred over to my car in good time.
Getting it on and off the trailer with a seized handbrake both sides was fun, but we got there in the end with a lot of pushing and swearing.
Today I started working on it for the first time, with the first job being fixing those god forsaken brakes. As usual this wasn't anywhere near as easy as it should have been, as the car had stupid hollow alloy wheel nuts which the threads have turned to dust on. Much swearing ensued getting them off. Tomorrow I'll start pulling bits off and cursing whatever else goes wrong.
