I have done a lot of work this afternoon! Pics to follow!

Right as soon as the post arrived whacked on my tow hook, literally took 2 minutes

Then I decided to take a chance with the toffee wheel and start with the trims
First one looked and came out awesome!

After that I think I got the wheel too hot so it left a toffee colour tinge in the paint!
Going to get my car mopped by my mate who is amazing at polishing
Otherwise looks very nice!

Then decided to take a hit on my grey trims with a hot air gun!
Boy oh boy has it changed the look!

Did the plastic bits behind the rear lights too

Then made te mistake of trying the bootlid "moustache" don't attempt it, doesn't go well :') fixed it now with a sharpie
But here's the back finished with new plate covers, look quite good and were only 10 quid!

All in all a good afternoons work and feel now he's actually starting to look ok!

Damn man. I like your tow hook I tho it need to be weld it

No just bolted into the orginal towing eye it's a clamp, the tow eye going ibetween the hook and the other plate and you clams it together with the bolts and hey presto. Also you can't weld it because it's aluminium so would be a right farce unless you can tig weld.

Cheers man compliments like that make the the time money and effort I've put in worth it. I'm sure yours will be getting all those sort of comments before long. Already looks like it has massive potential

Oh and the 1.4 is the same in all models. Same with the 1.3. Im sure the super s is the same as a basic 1.3 engine. Tbh the 1.4 is a quick little engine but if your thinking of doing a lot to it I've been told a 1.3 a better to work with depending on how far you want to take it because the ecu are easter to work with

Yeah all the engines are the same through the specs cg10, cg13 and cga3 the only differences are where they're dizzy or coil pack

It was someone like Polly or stanni who was telling me at jae cause I was on about turbo mine. Hard to remap or something. So

Did you need any extra wiring for the new dash gauges? and how much did you get hold of it for?

Is yours a facelift mate? I think someone may have mentioned there is extra wiring for the pre facelift rev clocks. But the facelift ones are plug and play. You can pick them up from a scrappy for about 30 quid but I found them quite hard to find so had a look on eBay and got one and a spoiler posted for 55

There harder cos you cant fit piggy back ecu but ed at fusion can do them i think

was just thinking with your dials couldnt you just take out the card and use that in your origional or even remove the digiatal part from the old and put it in the new

Update time!
First of the big upgrades I was expecting was a Matt humpris induction kit. Unfortunately it was sealed into one and didn't fit my coilpack engine so I have organised exchanging that for some other goodies

The main updates are under the 'hood

I installed a strut brace which I found made the turning in more positive, highly reccomended. When preparing for the gp a airbox I put on an oil breather but have left it on there. But my main favourite part is my JanSpeed 4-2-1 exhaust manifold!!

I found it rasps all the way through the rev range now which is nice but is still ok to try keep quiet. Revs more freely and picks up better in 3rd and 4th which I was hoping for.

Installed my boot spoiler and a family of smurfs because according to skymera they spiral round at a certain speed, off not off they come haha!

And on the front end (excuse the edit )

Put the badge and grilles in, look so much better black!

And also put on the trs tow strap!

Not a major amount of work but it's going along slowly. Have 100nx calipers coming today so hopefully a brake upgrade for the future!

Trim tape, you can bolt it but I didn't wanna damage the boot. I bought it from hoopdubs. It's gunna be going up for sale next week as I have a full wrap around spoiler to put on. The tow strap required the whole tow eye assembly to be dropped out and then the tow strap doesn't even stay up so had to be cabletied

Satin black it is actually structurally bolted! So will be able to be used for towing. But the cable tie keeps it tucked up
