Mot with mods

time to get the car mot'd, this is the first time its going to be mot'd with the mods. so basicaly what will the situation be with the bike carbs will they be ok for the mot? also will the mr2 seats be ok as long as the welds are good?

the seats should be fine. the bike carbs might fail it on emmisions!

the tester has got to be able to hold the revs at excactly 2000 iirc for about 30 secs (its very hard to do on a standard car even btw)
if he wanders out of the revband he has to start again
if you,ve got a short pedal throw he,s gonna curse you !

all the more reason to keep it like that maybe they wont bother with an emmisons test if they cant get it to stay inside the rev range

Because you're not cat tested, you may be ok with Emissions (yes i know they're still tested but your not as restricted), but if in doubt, speak to the tester before you take the car down there and ask them what they think. Some MOT testers will just ignore the emissions read out as it doesn't make the vehicle any less safe to drive

i think its 3.5ppm co2 for pre-cat and test stations are direct pooter linked now, so he has to hook it up (or a donor car !)

live near bedford. carnoiser have a place to get mot done with all mods on etc
