Miku the K11 Prefacelift blog

Untitled.png

WELCOME
To the Blog of Miku, The pre-face k11 micra.
It's a K11 1995 with CVT transmission and a 1.0L Noisemaker in the front.

The picture above is from todays outing (11/09/22) at Trago Mills car show.
More posts may or may not be posted as the car lives with me.

Random facts
Cost: 400 to buy. 1 year ago.
Mileage: 55k
Rust status: Unknown? Underside looks solid, sills unknown, front crossmember potential rust but maybe dirt.
Transmission: Auto CvT
Engine: 16v 1 litre.
Work done: Headlight connector replaced. Fuse melted and replaced with bypass, welded under floor, various lights replaced, fuzzy dice added. CV boot replaced. Pipercross filter added. Spray-undersealed.
Work needed: CV Joint? Another service. New wheel trims, further rustproofing. Many paint fixes. Rear tailgate refinish.

Plan: Keep and maintain until I eventually move onto a classic-er car (If I do)

Welcome! Christ I haven't seen that colour for years. It looks pretty clean well done

Where are the seat covers from?

Sent from my SM-F926B using Micra Sports Club mobile app
They are "Sakura" wembley checked design car seats, perfect match for it!

Got them from ebay but they appear to have disappeared from there (Actually I just found a set when I searched 'checked car seat'), currently on Amazon for 30 smackers as Sakura Jacquard seat covers (I need to get some new ones myself at some point.)
As for the car it seemed to be a rare colour indeed, overall condition okay however there are dents and blemishes everywhere including a badly filled hole on the tailgate from a previous owner and a nasty gouge done by my mother when trying to park it in a garage lol.

Driving test finally booked!... for february...
The Micra will see me through and onward into the near future!

Though word to the wise: if doing test on a manual car, it isn't very good to own an automatic car lol

Not much new to report

Cv joint still clickin
Dashboard light flickering
Car still drives just below its rated mpg
New wheel trims incoming

The car is now named Miku because of its anime eyes and funny blue colour

MOT test this week :z

Dash lights fixed
New wheel trims installed

Got my eyes on a Die Cast K11 Pre-facelift, hope nobody steals it ;)

Fuel fille neck added
apparently due to it being aftermarket it couldn't be put on properly, but it is on and works so that's good enough for me.
Suspension ball joint arm renewed and CVT Transmission fluid renewed

Car pulls like a train now

Still have the micra just in the garage as I drive a Fiat Panda (92) nowadays

The plan is to get a sill panel and get it welded at some point before the mot
