Does anyone have one or know how to time the engine up with the dots on the cam cogs??

are the coloured links on the chain still visible ?

i can only see some red paint on the chain that comes from the crank up to the head. i cant see anything on the top chain.

here,s a diag, but without the coloured links it,s not much use, i always set it so that a 3thou" feeler is biting at about 20 deg atdc (ex closing) and about 20 deg btdc (inlet opening), each notch on the crank pulley is 5 deg, btw.
and always turn the engine by hand to check for contact eh

Cheers for that. I just set it to what i thought was right by looking at the cams. Its running now nice now. I ve got the 1600 injectors on it with a 1 litre gearbox running at 11:1 compression ratio. does anyone know if the 1600 throttle body is an advantage to the 1300????
