Micra *Radiator Problem*

Maybe not the right place but some of you may be able to help...


Basically in my Micra SR20 the radiators sits very close to the alternator, so when the engine moves front and back the radiator hits the alternator destroying the fins causing it to leak coolant.

Iv tried to mount it several ways along with destroying few radiators

Anyone got ideas what to do next? Im going to soon run out of radiators:tt2:

Thought about removing the bonnet latch and mount some bonnet pins for more space?, but iv read the pins wont be safe at high speeds

Bonnet pins are fine as long as they are mounted correctly.

Is it too much hassle to have a thinner/lower alternator bracket made?

It still wont tuck the alternator by a lot

cut that crossmember out mov, and start from scratch on the lower radmounts (mine,s gonna be just straight and higher :grinning: yours will need to be more protruding like an n15 one eh)
