Good evening all, im BACK!! he he

Right i met will69 saturday to pick up so he could pick up his new engine, nice fella hope to see you soon mate :)

This means im left with literally now a shell :p

Everyday for the past month i have driven the same route to and from work and everytime i pass this super s

I kept on tell myself "I'd love to have that" until one day i put a note on the windscreen on the way back from a night shift, to my luck i get a text the following morning thats its for sale as his new cars coming end of the week :)

Like a fat kid in a candy store i was all over it and finally picked it up saturday

Took me and hour to start the foocker as flat battery and and no petrol but finally she bounced into life!

I took my steering wheel with me and a few associated tools and swapped it over for the drive home

Drives very well to be honest, non power steering, non central locking, non abs (just the way i like them!) but very tight and responsive and very nippyy for a stock car

It does have a whole in back box and also underneath in centre section but i have spare plus franks custom one

havent had much chance to do anything but got a couple of hours today as i worked all day and night yesterday (double time, yes please!!)

i still have the other thing in the garage and have to swap suspension and wheels or the shell wont move

today i swapped all my dashboard over to the black one and removed some old alarm that had been wired in,

i know it looks a state but under that is a true firebreathing black super s which will awesome

the meguiars and t cut are screaming at me to get at it and i dont think ive seen interior so dirty!

im dying to wack suspension and wheels on but i know ill be more pleased once the bodys shiny and more pleasing to the eye

oh and my garage looks like micra porn heaven at the moment with all the bolts i got ready

but as some of you may know my situation i have to be more cautious of my actions so that i DONT hurt loved ones in the process :)

i know shes dirty but im filthy so we make a good match

Are those wheels and tyres or stilts?

Cracking find Martin, half a day with an angle grinder and a wheel brace will have that looking smashing!

Edit: Oh yeah, great to see ya back in a more positive situation too Martin.
 
lol you and photoshopping should be banned :p hehe yeah martboy21 is really good and would alweays recomend him for business suprised you got that dash changed so fast already lol
 
rev guauge is halfords(Shhh!!) i think it looks pukka from a drivers point of view

it will have the same stance as the previous as using same stuff on this one, cant wait

dunno,must admit i did like electric on my old super s,

im heading in a good direction with this one i feel, i know what works because of the older one, still havent washed it :(

oh and kwik fit insurance have renewed the mrs policy for $400 nmore altought she has 1 year more no claims, really ####ed off, they saying i have to pay 300 to cancel, they sent the renenwal to old address and it got forwarded a month later!!its my fault i didnt ring up to make sure it didnt automatically renew

sometimes i just feel like getting hold of the little cock on the end of the phone and bitting his eyelids off, or as my boss says "pulling chunks of skin off with blunt nose pliers" aarrrrrgggch

Mr sky insurance i need to insure both cars, tell me how to get out of this and you will have both cars insured with you hmmm commission :)

Its race prepped! You dont need electric windows! Manual ones are lighter. :p:blush:

Edit..Hard to make out properly with the dirt & dark but that tailgate don't look too bad in the picture,might be repairable?
 
Gonna start on the t cut and polish on the front tonight or fit wheels suspension?

Can't decide what to do first!!?

What you lot reckon? Wait till it's gleaming or slamm it before?:)

Boots strangely dented under Neath the bulb holder/handle plus I want the smoother boot I original made ages ok

Need the window seal aswell though, anyone know where to get them from?

have been trying to post on this thread by my phone kept deleting my post, gave up in the end.
Great to see the car, give it a good clean though mate.
Looking forward to a slow but steady flow of updates :p

I had this same problem yesterday Mart. My renewal never turned up from LV so they automatically renewed for me (#######s) and i had to pay £32 to cancel it. Saved meself £200 renewing with Chriss Knott though so was worth it in the end.

Thought it might be as it's a super s so tried the same quote on my 1.0 l came back only 20 quid cheaper! Not good, it could jeapodise the whole project

I know it's not great but I was paying only 1036 on 200sx with licence for 7 months

Any ideas?

Sky insurance won't cover me unless I have 2 years driving experience!?

I drive a 3.5 ton long wheel base high top transit all day everyday but to drive a Micra which is hardly a flunking sports car is a joke

Maybe time to just close the book on the whole situation!!ffs :(grr

Insurance game is crazy, they wonder why so many out there dont bother having it. I remember when i had my last car (corsa b) it was cheaper for me to insure it as a 2.0 16v rather than a 1.6 16v. Not much difference but was cheaper, work that one out haa. I hope you can find one cheaper and then crack on with the project.

Have you tried putting the car and van on one policy mate, could work out cheaper etc

Have you tried the guys who offer discount on here, name escapes me for the moment - do they need two years too. Them and Adrian Flux were the cheapest quotes for me.
Phone, not interweb is the way forward with cheaper quotes too.
 
mate you cant leave stick at it try admiral they were good for me im 21 no years claims bonus, had to add parents to policy. used to be on my mum and dads policy til they signed car over to me and got my own micra to
 
You're not on you own Marty, my insurance is a joke aswell. I'm 22, 2yrs driving experience, 1yrs no claims, I've had no accidents and my insurance is still around the 1300 mark.
It would be cheaper for me to insure a 200sx £900?!?!
 
Wierd that, im £1400 on my micra with 9 points and 2 unsettled claims. Been driving for 5 years, lost it at one point. No no claims either, try Q4 or tiger ;)
 
mines 1003 or something for a standard 100% stock 1 litre p reg vibe...im 21 years old had my license since i was 17

i was on my parents for 2 years before that hten they put car in my name for my own policy so had no no claim bonus
 
Lets not let this turn into an insurance thread. sorry to hear about all this mate!!! would it be worth just keeping the car for half a year and then re-trying when you have two years driving under your belt? what would the quotes be then?
 
Right I have some news, I have gotten it down to less than a grand With admiral on own policy with parents as named drivers, I have no idea how or why but there website through it at me so I double checked everything and saved quote

I Can calm down now :) sorry for out burst earlier but it's almost like everything is always against me constantly with micras etc!

Oh just lowered the front and wacked wheels on looks awesome :)
