Makin the micra faster?

hi is there anything you can do apart from changing the engine and taking seats out, to make a 1.0 micra faster?

i mean i know addin a better panel filter or k&n style thingy and better ht leads and spark plugs will slightly improve preformance but is there anythin else that you can do?

new full exhaust system, lowering it would help with handling

new cams, lighter flywheel, turbo or an ecu map? also if you got big wheels get rid of them as it will also slow you down

Adding "better" HT leads and spark plugs won't give any improvement in performance, unless yours are ######ed. Nothing wrong with genuine standard nissan leads and plugs.

Simple mods - Exhaust (complete, not a backbox!), throttle body, filter, remap. A bit more money have someone port the head for you.

a dont think the micra beast is ####ed haha am just goin on what people in college have said thats all and turbo is outa the question :/ my insurance is 2k as it is!

Like was has been said above HT leads, plugs will make no difference, it has been tried on a few of the rally cars to no affect, also interestingly there is no power gain by using high octane rather than premium unleaded fuel.
Obviously the easiest gain is through breathing, the more air in your engine the better

hmmm i will be starting one soon as am doing this conversion in the middle of taking one out of a supers that a bloke i know is breaking is there any thing any body whants as i can ask how much he whants for stuff when i go down tomoz

Good service with nissan parts- new or bigger injectors? Uprate the inlet and exhaust? But micras arent always about speed concerntrate on the handling more because it the corners that make you smile:grinning:
