This week my lovely K11 has been on a severe diet. in fact, from its original 800Kg kerb weight, i've pared it down to just 752Kg!
its not easy, can be a rigt pain to get some parts out, but heres the list
1) spare wheel - 11.6Kg
2) rear seat belts and buckles - 2.59Kg
3) handbrake base and shroud plastics - 170g
4) rear light inner shroud - 140g
5) front door speakers - 940g
6)head unit - 1.22Kg
7) driver side door card and associated handle mechanism - 3.92Kg
8) boot and door inspection panels - 1.54Kg
9) spare wheel cover - 520g
10)miscellaneous trim parts, bolts removed, brackets from boot floor, carpet protectors and parcel shelf - 8.36Kg
11) jack - 1.61Kg
12) rear seat bench and split upper - 14.7Kg
theres a few other bits ive got counted up as well.
my car is a 1275, supposedy producing 75bhp new. in theory if the engine has lost no power in the 80,000 miles its done (obviously impossible) then at the current weight its pulling 99.65bhp/ton!
