Hello
my car approaches the 100 000 KMs, lambda sensor has never been changed, do you think it worth the 100euros asked for ?
Will it really bring better fuel economy?
Thanks ;)
Seb

you can test if yours is working ok with a voltmeter seb (the middle wire should read a swinging around .4v to .6v at cruise) :grinning:

This man can do anything with a voltmeter :D
Thanks a lot for the hint dr Frank ! Could you detail how to do a little more?

you tap the + lead into the middle wire on the lambda seb, and earth the other lead
the voltage usually goes up to nearly 1v when you rev it, and nearly zero when you lift, and should swing around .4 to.6v if you hold the revs at 3k rpm :grinning:

Provided yours is working ok there would be no point changing it!
Changing a Lambda sensor will only restore economy if the original was faulty.
