KN filters questions

again, I have 3newbie 2cents question,
do the KN filters are increasing fuel consumption?
do they are ok for the engine or not advised?
and do they are legal for the insurance in case of accident?

no it wont affect insurance if you decide to get a panel filter but im not sure about induction or cold air feeds

Frank: I'm talking about the one wich fits in the regular airbox, not the cold air intake kit Danny's talking about.
So it won't affect insurance, thanks Danny.
But what about the engine health and fuel consumption dr Frank ?

i doubt if a K-n-N panel filter will affect your fuel or insurance
mate, slightly more induction roar maybe

yeah noticed no real difference apart from saving money on buying replacement filters as you can clean K&N's and sounds a little bit deeper - worth it!
