k12 starting problem

hi all ive just removed the battery off a friends k12 and recharged it ive fitted it bac on but now the keyless start does not work all the lights show on the dash but when try and crank nothing happens appart from the multi function display goes off

does any1 have any ideas or know wot needs to be done many thanx
