K12 Sport+ Sqealing Noise

Hi, I've just bought myself a 05 plate K12 sport+1.2 3 door which replaces my K11 1.3si,now the reason I'm writing this is ever time I go to take away in 1st gear there is a high pitch squealing noise,it mainly happens when the car is cold,has anybody else suffered this I was just wanting some pointers to try and get to the bottom of this.

p.s I will have to get rid of the dreadful 6 disc changer which doesn't play cdr's or mp3s,can anyone recommend a double din alternative which I can still use the steering wheel controls with.

It's usually the auxiliary belt that squeals on K12's so possibly you need it tightened or a new one. I had mine replaced last year and it's squealing again. Apparently it's a common K12 problem so my dealer tells me.

Agreed, mine did that and it was the main belt. Got it tightened and it was fine.
