K12 Aerial

I've had the aerial broken off at the base of my K12. I've bought a new generic aerial from ebay. Anybody know how to remove old aerial? Can I get to the fittings through the interior light unit? I had a quick look through the interior light hole but couldn't see anything obvious.

I did the same at a jet wash. The nut is in a recess well ahead of the light unit sadly, so the headlining needs to be dropped down. Visors out, handles etc then carefully lower it until you can get above it to remove the nut.

I've left mine and stuck some wire in it.

Thanks. I feared it wouldn't be so simple. I had attached some wire too which has been fine. Getting a decent signal but It just looks awful.

Yeah, but you can't see it from inside so I stopped caring.
