K11 retrofit handsfree mics??

Hi guys newbie here, bought a 2001 k11 today as a wee runabout 2nd car, love it already, £300 full mot and runs sweet as a nut, and usual rust spots are spotless.

Mine has what looks like handsfree mics wired into each side of the windscreen pillars.

car came with a Sony head unit fitted and haven't pulled that out yet to see where the wires go to etc, can anyone shed any light on these before I start pulling it apart.

I'm planning on putting a new Bluetooth head unit in so hopefully these might be useful as they're already fitted.

What you smoking??? Hahahaha, those are alarm sensors. If the alarm isn't working then take them off like what no did, take the pillar cowling off then trace the wiring and disconnect it, should be a box that it goes into..

Haha now see that makes sense ! My mrs has a tekna qashqai with the whole handsfree thing goin on, and also has these. She was convinced it was the mics. Will need to tell her stop shouting towards them when the signal drops haha. Cheers j
