Hi I recently bought a k11 mystique.
We are just sorting a few little things on it. There was play in 1 of the front ball joints, but the arms are in great condition otherwise, so decided to just replace the ball joints. I bought 2 from ebay, and checked the description that they were correct for a 1.3 and used the ebay car check tool and chose the blueprint brand as I have found them to be good in the past.
However, when we fit the first one, we can see that it sits deeper than the orginals, i.e. the end of the threaded part is closer to the hub. On inspection, the taper part of the new ball joint isnt quite as thick and so is sitting a little deeper.
I was just wondering if you guys were aware if the the hubs with abs require specific ball joints, or if the online "this part fits your car" might be incorrect for such a part?
