I am chatting with a mate who's very into the french car scene, and told him about the K11 Micra diesel.
The K11 diesel was fitted with a 1.5L diesel engine from Citroen. Right up his alley. We got out wikipedia, and found the engine code to be TUD5, very conveniently this is the same engine family as whats under the bonnet of a Peugeot 106 Rallye, and a Citroen C2 VTS and various other PSA cars from that era. We then went looking at gearboxes, and as it seems all of them have the same bolt pattern, which should mean a 123hp Citroen C2 VTS engine should drop right in a micra and drive it on the stock trans. (when we forget everything else to make it run)...
now who has a spare Diesel micra sitting around and is in for a stupid 2am idea
